Application presets

We have created this list of application presets to help you achieve the best quality when printing with Trinity Mirror Printing. If your application is not covered, you can use the screenshots as a guide to set up the presets in any other dtp application.

The most important part of printing on newsprint is to ensure you control the pre-press. Newsprint ink never dries so you need to ensure you always convert colour images using the ISOnewspaper26v4.icc profile. This will restrict the total ink limit to 240%. This profile has a built-in dotgain allowance of 26%. For mono images you will need to convert these using the ISOnewspaper26v4_gr.icc profile. If you don't use these profiles your printed result will not be predictable.
